Brochures

These brochures represent brief introductions to nanotechnology, nanobiotechnology and the NACBO project and can be downloaded for reading and printing below. The information is formulated in such a way so as to be directed towards three different target interest groups.

  • Version 1 is intended for senior school children and those lacking a deep knowledge of the subject area and describes the project and nanotechnology and nanobiotechnology in simple but interesting terms.
  • Version 2 is intended for general distribution to anybody simply requiring or desiring more information in general about our project.
  • Version 3 is intended for those already possessing knowledge, and probably experience in our subject area, who would want more specific, and in depth, information regarding the project.

There is no limit to the number of times the brochures can be downloaded or reproduced but the NACBO Consortium expects that the source of the information will be acknowledged by anyone using it.

Poster

The project poster was created to encourage public awareness of the project and nanotechnology in general.

There is no limit to the number of times the poster can be downloaded or reproduced but the NACBO Consortium expects that the source of the information will be acknowledged by anyone using it.

Women in NACBO

There are over 40 women employed by NACBO at all levels. At project outset a specifically designed Gender Action Plan was formulated to illustrate and promote NACBO’S contribution to gender diversity in SET (science, technology and engineering) especially nanobiotechnology.

One part of the Gender Action Plan has been to initiate and deliver a series of presentations on Nanoscience, nanotechnology and nanobiotechnology designed to give female high school students (GSCE and A-Level) an introduction into the field of nanoscience and its applications in industry and society. These talks have been delivered by female researchers from the project who have given the students direct insight into their own research.

NACBO Outputs

NACBO continues to generate a large number of outputs in terms of publications, conference presentations etc. At project outset the project formulated a plan for the dissemination of knowledge and outputs to date have exceeded expectations.
